The Big Idea
We live in a world obsessed with always knowing the latest or the breaking news or the thing around the bend. I feel like we often end up forgetting what we already know or the things we should take time to know better in the midst of the constant churn.
The idea of knowing as utility in not the full picture
Knowing for enjoyment or even just the “I want to know because I do”
All of those reasons end up being pretty frail and single minded.

How do we seek deep knowing of the things that matter and not just the things that are coinvent or useful?
How can we see the world less like a vast array of disparate information, people and things that are like cold facts and more like a world breathing with the breath of God and living by the creative power of Jesus?
We live with many content filters. Are they actually filtering what matters?
How much to we end up obsessing over global things that we don’t even know what is going on right around us. This ends up with us having no idea how to connect to the issues and community within our area of influence while wasting time and energy on things we have no control over.
