The Big Idea
Did a little digging around our discussion between figures of speech and speaking plainly in John 16:23–33. Seems like Jesus is pointing out the relationship between shorter more compact speaking and getting them ready to hear about His relationship with the Father in its fullness. Also a bit of hidden poetry between the two words:
